Very knowledgeable and quite personable….great staff

I have been coming here for around 4-5 years. They are always on time & have many frames to choose from . I have extensive problems with my eyesight & they always know the right prescription for my eyes.

The doctor is kind and understanding, however, he has messed up my vision for life. Before, I had 20/20 vision. Then all of the sudden he tells me I need glasses and I hear him out and say ok. As time has gone on, I’ve realized these glasses have made my life and vision worse, and it’s gotten to the point where my eyes will hurt constantly with a little side of vertigo. Not sure if he was just trying to get me to buy glasses, but I wish I never got them

I have the best sight I have had in years with the most comfortable contact lens he just had me try.

Dr Middaugh is one of the best eye doctors I have seen in years. He was quickly able to fit me with contacts even though I have a cornea problem. He is friendly, funny and treats you like a person and actually spends time talking to you. I am sad I have to say that but others doctors treat you as just another person they can bill services for. Dr Middaugh is the best.

Great appointment! There was no waiting and kindness shown from checking in through purchasing my glasses. Dr Middaugh did a very thorough exam and explained what he was doing as a did it. During my time that I was choosing glasses, I was given options and suggestions as we went through the process. Absolutely never felt pressured in any way. He openly gave me ways I could cut prices if I felt I needed too. I am thrilled with my new eye facility!!!

What a great staff! Everyone was caring and compassionate from the receptionist to the Doctor. We had a pediatric trauma as the nature of our business. They were thorough and spent extra time answering my sons curious questions. My son walked away relieved of anxiety and excited to go back for future exams.

When my husband and I went on Medicare I said that if they don’t cover our eye exams, I will pay it out of pocket. Thankfully, it has been covered. Give them 5 stars.

Really impressed with Dr Martinez and his entire staff here. They really take precautions for sanitizing the equipment, the frames, exam chairs,, etc. His assistant Stephanie was friendly, excellent, thorough, cleaned everything, and explained things going along.I highly recommend getting the refraction test and your eyes dilated. Their office has the most updated equipment and tests for many different eye conditions. The doctor detected something going on in the back of my my left eye after i had the refraction test.. He also helped get my contact lenses prescription updated, which was too strong for both of my eyes.The optometrist helped me find a really nice eyeglass frame and explained my options with lenses, transitions and other features for the best eyeglass experience. I.m Going back in a week to have the new contacts rechecked and ordered hopefully. Highly recommend going here!

I took my two girl's there after a recommendation. I was tired of going to eye doctors to only be disappointed by the wait and lack of care. We saw Dr. Martinez and he was excellent. He took his time and listened to our concerns. The office staff are really nice. Great friendly athmosphere.

This place was simply amazing. The woman who checked me in was so kind. The woman who got my initial exam was kind as well and really helped ease my anxiety about having my first eye exam ever. And the woman who helped get me my first pair of glasses was amazing. She actually picked out my pair for me. She went above and beyond and picked out so many styles for me to try. I loved them all and am shocked that she was the one to pick out my first ever pair. It's like she knew me! I wish I knew all these ladies names to give them shout outs. And Dr Middaugh is one if the best doctors I've had a pleasure of seeing. Again this was my first eye exam and he made sure to explain everything before it happened. What I've noticed is that my favorite doctors all have a sense of humor, and he made me laugh the whole visit. By the time it came to dilate my eyes, which I was extremely anxious over initially, I had ZERO anxiety. One if my favorite doctors by far. Him and his staff will not let you down. I am very honored to be welcomed to this practice. Thank you all so much!

Dr. Martinez is wonderful. He's a good listener, thorough and an intelligent doctor. Also, I was able to get in for an appointment for an eye exam on a Saturday which is amazing if you have a tough time getting off of work. Unfortunately the weekend appts are only for routine eye exams and I have to schedule for a weekday to see him for follow-up. Otherwise, great experience. Dr. Martinez is highly recommended!!!

I arrived at Dr. Middaugh’s office, the Fort Myers Eye Center, in dire straits. I had spent $700 on an eye exam, glasses, and contacts at a different eye office in Fort Myers. Not only could I not read properly or see distance correctly, my eyes were inflamed, red, and teary. It turns out the other office prescribed the incorrect strength, as well as the incorrect lens curvature. Dr. Middaugh fixed all of that, and then, he also improved several other components of my prescription, leading me to realize that at least some of the headaches I had been experiencing were related to my eyes. The best eye doctor I have ever been to! The staff and Dr. Middaugh is extremely nice and sincerely care about the patients. I recently moved here from out of state and injured my eye. I was concerned not having my normal trusted eye doctor that I've had for years, but they got me in right away, took great care of me, answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable. I will be going here from now on!

I was immediately impressed when walking into the Eye Center. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Jenifer went out of her way to ask me about myself and made it her mission to find me the perfect pair of glasses. Dr. Middaugh was extremely friendly and thorough and I had no doubt that I was in good hands and he had my best interest in mind. I recommend them to everyone I know and cannot wait for my next appointment to work with them again.

I decided to bring my son here, for his first eye doctor appointment, based solely on the reviews I read here.. and I'm glad I did! First, I will mention that we went on a holiday which already had me thinking that there would be a long wait due to school being out, but that wasn't the case, he was seen in a matter of minutes after completing the new patient paperwork. The employees are very friendly and I especially liked how the Doctor took a few minutes to get to know my son before proceeding with the exam. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful and I plan on returning when I'm due next year for an eye exam for myself. I can't say enough wonderful things about this practice.

I've been with Dr. Middaugh for almost 20 years. As young as he is, I feel like I must have been one of his first patients. He is so understanding!!! I get panic attacks and he never makes me feel bad for it. Considering I only see him once a year, I am always surprised that both he and his staff always remember me and personal details about me. I refuse to even think about trying another optometrist!

My daughters and I received the most professional care delivered with the warmth and friendliness of that small town doctor you have grown up with:). The staff was welcoming, warm, and informative and I felt at home right away. I will never go back to the disjointed care we received at one of the local chain optical outlets. If you are looking for kindly delivered, excellent care for your optical needs, look no further! Customer Service was EXCELLENT!!!From the minute I walked into the office, I was greeted with a smile and all Staff was very friendly. Every single step throughout the eye exam was explained in detail, making me feel more comfortable. Dr. Middaugh is also extremely friendly, with the right sense of humor. He even explained how is technology works and why he does, what he does. This is a very patient centered practice and highly recommended. My husband and I are now loyal customers.
